A company that offers application and teleservices services in India must have an OSP License. This license is issued by the Department of Telecommunications and is valid for up to 20 years. The process to acquire an OSP license involves a few different steps. First, the entity must be registered under the Companies Act,2013/1956. The certificate of incorporation must be in place, and the authorized signatory must be identified. Once the license is obtained, the Authorized Signatory will need to sign a note detailing the nature of their business. This document must be attested by a Director, Company Secretary, or Public Notary. After acquiring an OSP License, the organization must file its Annual Return within 6 months of the close of its financial year. The license is valid for up to 20 years.

Once the application process is completed, the applicant will be required to submit an annual return to the DOT. The return must state the activities the company has undertaken and the current status of the organization. The return must be submitted to the Department of Telecommunication within six months of the end of the financial year. The OSP License is a legal obligation and should not be taken lightly. When it comes to the renewal of your OSP License, you must make sure that you have all the required documents and do not have any problems.

The OSP License can be applied for multiple locations. If you are running a call center in more than one location, you can apply for an OSP license for that location. However, you must submit a copy of your first registration to the ROC as well as an application from the other location. If you do not have an OSP license, you must get a TERM cell to register it. The ROC will then validate your application.
