Speaking at the event, retired High Court judge, Justice B. Chandrakumar, emphasized that significant changes in the education sector can occur if students and teachers take the initiative. He stressed that environmental protection must become a part of everyone’s daily routine. Since the establishment of the World Environment Organization, the organization has continuously conducted programs involving students, scientists, legal experts, poets, artists, and journalists. He noted that it is a proud moment to raise awareness about environmental protection among a thousand female teachers and urged the continuation of such programs in the future.

L. Jeevan Lal, the Income Tax Commissioner for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, stated that the lives of everyone are being profoundly affected by environmental issues. With the increasing pollution, students and indigenous communities are facing severe impacts, leading to reduced life expectancy. He called on students and teachers to act as guardians of the environment, transforming every school and university into environmental protection centers.

All India Principals and Educators Association National Chairman, Mr. Jindal, speaking on behalf of the World Environment Organization, announced that every student in the country would become a part of the great environmental protection movement. Special training programs would be organized at the village level to empower both teachers and students to emerge as environmental soldiers.

Dr. A. Jyothsna Rao, the event’s organizer, highlighted that natural disasters are increasing globally, and to escape from these crises, everyone must protect the environment as if it were divine worship. She pointed out that all religions regard nature as divine, and protecting nature is akin to protecting oneself. The World Environment Organization has developed special programs, songs, and videos to help students spend 5 to 30 minutes each day connecting with nature.

In honor of her father, Prof. Dr. Amruth Rao, she emphasized the importance of the education system in every school and village contributing to the great environmental protection movement.

Public singer Comrade Vimalakka shared her 50-year-long fight for the environment and people, declaring that there is no alternative to protecting nature. She stressed that all of her songs, speeches, and life itself are dedicated to nature.

The event also included an environmental protection oath led by Amrutharao Elizabeth Rani, Ambassador of the World Environment Organization’s Student Wing. The teachers placed their hands on their hearts and pledged before nature.

Srinivas Chelluri, CEO of Tax Filing India and a member of the World Environment Organization’s Core Committee, addressed the audience, stating that we can only live with clean water, food, and air. He compared nature to God and emphasized that protecting it is equivalent to protecting our parents, which will solve many of our problems.

World Environment Organization Secretary-General, Nikhil, announced that international and national programs would be developed soon to include every school, university, and teacher in this environmental movement. He called for all people, regardless of caste, religion, region, or gender, to unite for environmental protection.

Dr. C.H. Bhadra, President of the World Environment Organization, remarked that humanity has already caused irreparable damage to the earth, equivalent to the destruction expected over 500,000 years, all in the last 200 years due to industrialization. He emphasized that there is no alternative but to protect the environment, noting that everything we consume is polluted, and only by protecting the environment can we save ourselves.

The event concluded with the recognition of female teachers from various government and private schools and colleges across the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, honoring them with state-level Best Teacher Awards for their contributions to environmental protection awareness. The representatives of the organization, including Assistant Secretary Rajesh Goud and Core Team members Kranti Sagar and Shyam, along with leaders of various journalist, employee, and environmental organizations, participated in the event.
